Independence Valley Trestle Demolition Request for Bids
This project provides demolition and disposal of two derelict railroad trestles in the Chehalis floodplain in Independence Valley. The project involves implementation of the following elements:
- Removal and disposal of all creosoted timbers and pilings associated with two trestles
- Site Restoration
Engineer’s Estimate (Construction Work Only): $18,000 – $24,000
Bids for this project will be received until 10:00am August 31st, 2026, via email at
katrinka@thurstoncd.com. There will be a mandatory pre-bid meeting on Monday, August 24th, 2026,
at the project site starting at 3pm. This project is subject to prevailing wage requirements per RCW
39.12.020, and award of this project is contingent on final grant funding approval and permit
acquisition.
Attendance at the pre-bid meeting is mandatory to submit a bid for this contract.
All prospective bidders must attend a mandatory site visit. Bids will not be accepted from any
bidders not present at the mandatory site visit.
