Marianne is a Climate Reality Leader trained by Al Gore in 2016. Following training she became a board member with Washington Women for Climate Action NOW. Marianne currently serves on the Thurston Climate Reality Project leadership team. Marianne was on the City of Lacey Tree Task Force while the City reviewed their tree policies. She volunteers with the Thurston Climate Action Team and Friends of Trees in Thurston County. Marianne also serves on the board of Zonta of South Puget Sound working to build a better world for women and girls. Marianne worked as a business development manager in the commercial landscape industry. That experience solidified her passion for tree protection, healthy soil, and organic land care. Marianne supports local food systems and our small farmers by purchasing Community Supported Agriculture. Marianne is a small landowner in Thurston County and enjoys being a steward of her property. She strives to be part of the solution and learn from others in conservation.
