Jae Townsend joined the Conservation District in January of 2023 as an Education & Outreach Assistant. As a life-long Washington resident, Jae grew up in Kitsap County, playing in the woods and splashing in the creek behind their house. It was here that Jae developed a love of the nature and a respect for the natural forces that shape our world.
Jae received their undergraduate credentials from the Evergreen State College, where they hold a Bachelor of Science degree. Jae comes from an environmental non-profit background and has a special interest in forestry and wildfire risk management. In their spare time, they enjoy camping, hiking, traveling, and spending time with their wife and four pets.
