Farm My Yard is designed to support farmers and gardeners in the urban parts of Thurston County by connecting them with property owners who have vacant lots, yards, or other spaces that are available for lease. Similar to our South Sound FarmLink, program that connects growers with access to farmland, Farm My Yard is designed to support both the grower and the property owner in meeting their goals and increasing access to locally grown products.
Are you a property owner of a vacant lot, large lot, or other suitable growing space in the urban areas or their Urban Growth Areas of Thurston County? Would you like to be matched with a farmer or gardener to grow on your lot?
Are you a grower looking for urban space to farm or garden for business or personal use?
How we can help
Our staff can help make matches, support lease drafting, and connect both property owners and growers with technical and financial programs to further their landscape-based and business goals and to support a viable local agricultural economy.
