Helen Wheatley is a former college teacher with a Ph.D. in world environmental history from Johns Hopkins University. She specializes in the history of agriculture. Helen raised her family in Thurston County and is excited to have the opportunity to support conservation education. She brings years of experience in public service as a former member of the Hanford Advisory Board, representing the nonprofit Heart of America Northwest, which is dedicated to promoting Hanford cleanup and clean energy throughout the Northwest.
